The control method comprises the steps that: the electric toothbrush is initialized and started, and the motor works in a slight vibration mode; the sensor detects the stress borne by the motor working in aslight vibration mode, and the stress is recorded as first detection pressure; and the controller continuously obtains the stress detected by the sensor, and if the stress detected by the sensor is larger than the first detection pressure by a first amplitude, the controller controls the motor to be switched to a normal vibration mode. Foam on the toothbrush head can be prevented from splashing everywhere before tooth brushing, and the anti-splashing function is achieved.
