METHODS OF SCREENING FOR MILD SKIN CLEANSER

Methods for screening skin cleansers for mildness include utilization of a volume ratio of vesicles to micelles. A skin cleansing composition comprising a cleansing surfactant is diluted at a weight ratio of at least 5 parts water to 1 part cleansing surfactant, the amounts of vesicles and micelles in the diluted composition are determined and the volume ratio of vesicles to micelles is determined.
