The method is characterized in that a microprocessor of a motor controller collects N estimated rotating speeds spd; statistical analysis processing is carried out on the N estimated rotating speeds spd; the standard deviation sigma of the estimated rotating speeds spdis analyzed and calculated in real time; whether rotating speed estimation has fault or not is judged by comparing the standard deviation sigma with a set limiting threshold sigma t; and if rotating speed estimation is abnormal, protection processing needs to be carried out. The phenomenon of shaking and stalling caused by estimation distortion due to very small back electromotive force is prevented, the lowest rotating speed is further detected, the rotating speed range of the motor is widened, and a stalling protection strategy is perfected.
