Electrical connector with terminal position assurance member

An electrical connector (100) includes a housing (102) and a terminal position assurance (TPA) member (104). The housing defines cavities (108) that extend from a cable end (112) of the housing parallel to a cavity axis (206) and hold corresponding terminals (106) therein. The housing includes first and second walls (404, 406) defining a TPA slot (202) therebetween that is open to the cavities. The TPA member is mounted to the housing within the TPA slot such that a front side (306) of the TPA member engages the first wall and a rear side (308) of the TPA member engages the second wall. The TPA member is movable relative to the housing between an unlocked position and a locked position along an actuation axis (212) perpendicular to the cavity axis.
