The setting method comprises the following steps: S1, calculating an equipment virtualouter boundary based on an equipment structure; s2, calculating a virtual outer boundary of the operation part according to an operation method of the operation part on the equipment; s3, setting a safety threshold value based on the equipment operation speed; and S4, on the virtual outer boundary of the equipment or/and the virtual outer boundary of the operation part, increasing an interval corresponding to the safety threshold to obtain a virtual electronic fence of the equipment, and enabling the virtual electronic fence when the equipment is in a moving state and closing the virtual electronic fence when the equipment is in a static state.
