According to the method, the retention index isused for rapidly determining a collection time window in a gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry dynamic multi-reaction monitoring mode (dMRM) analysis method, and the method belongs to the technical field of tobacco component detection and is characterized in that a retention index database of a target compound is firstly established, and the retention time of the target compound can be predicted according to the actually measured retention time of n-alkane series on the basis of acquiring the database so that the time window of each target compound in the dMRM method is accurately andquickly created.
