The invention relates to a transformer and a transformer box. The transformer box comprises a box body, and reinforcing supports used for enhancing the strength of the box body are arranged on the vertical side walls of the box body. A closed cavity is defined by the reinforcing supports and the vertical side walls of the box body; a far-end liquid outlet and a near-end liquid outlet are formed ina cavity body of the closed cavity; and after the vertical side wall of the box body is placed horizontally or obliquely for electrophoresis, the far-end liquid outlet is used for discharging electrophoresis liquid in the closed cavity when the reinforcing support is located at the bottom of the box body, and the near-end liquid outlet is used for discharging electrophoresis liquid in the closedcavity when the reinforcing support is located at the top of the box body.
