The embodiment of the invention discloses a network performance test method and device, and the method is applied to a main storage equipment end. The method comprises: transmitting a first read-writecommand to a standby storage equipment end in a test mode; receiving a first read-write command completion message returned by the standby storage device end, the first read-write command completionmessage being a message returned after a small computer system interface SCSI target of the standby storage device end terminates the first read-write command; determining a first bandwidth and a first time delay of a network between the main storage device end and the standby storage device end based on the first read-write command completion message; and determining the network transmission performance of the network between the main storage device end and the standby storage device end based on the first bandwidth and the first delay.
