The tartary buckwheat crossbreeding method comprises the steps of selecting two tartary buckwheat varieties with relatively large target character difference as a male parent and a female parent respectively, cultivating the male parent tartary buckwheat until entering an initial flowering stage, cultivating the female parent tartary buckwheat until more than five or more than flower buds with the size of 1.5-2 mm are exposed from the top, and starting hybridization; selecting unpollinated flower buds of robust plants from the cultured female parents for castration; and selecting flowers with cracked anthers and more pollen attached to the surfaces from the cultivated male parents for pollination, carrying out bagging for continuous cultivation, harvesting seeds of the female parent plants, and thus obtaining the tartary buckwheat hybrid seeds.
