ACTUATOR FOR MEDIUM VOLTAGE CIRCUIT BREAKER

The present invention relates to an actuator for a medium voltage circuit breaker. The actuator comprises a rotor, a stator, and at least one coil. The rotor is configured to be fixedly mounted to a main shaft of a circuit breaker of a medium voltage switchgear such that the rotor and main shaft rotate together. The stator is configured to be mounted at least partially around the rotor. The at least one coil is wound around at least a part of the stator.
