The method comprises the following steps of acquiring detection data of a sensor arranged at a foot of a gait recognition object; determining a rotation center of the foot according to the detection data; and recognizing a current gait of the foot provided with the sensor according to the rotation center. The sensor can detect a three-axis attitude angle and acceleration of the foot part, the rotation center of the foot is determined through the detection data of the sensor, and the foot hasdifferent rotation centers at different gaits, so that the gait of the foot at the moment is judged.
