Theinvention discloses application of a fluorescent compound in detection and/or distinguishing of natural plant compounds. The structural formula of the fluorescent compound is shown in the specification, wherein n is any one of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8. The fluorescent compound adopted by the invention is an AIE compound, and can realize the detection of natural compounds through the change of fluorescence emission intensity or fluorescence emission wavelength.
