The invention discloses a cathode electrophoresis paint color paste preparation method which comprises: uniformly mixing a dispersion resin A and water, adding a catalyst dispersion paste, uniformly dispersing, adding a pigment filler, and premixing to obtain a premixed paste; sanding the premixed pulp to obtain sanded pulp; adding an alcohol ether solvent into the sanded pulp, uniformly mixing, and diluting with water to obtain the cathode electrophoretic paint color paste, wherein the catalyst dispersion slurry is formed by mixing substances including dispersion resin B, a catalyst and ethylene glycol butyl ether, and the dispersion resin A and the dispersion resin B are the same resin. The color paste prepared by the method has good stability.
