Zusammenfassung: | There is provided a microfluidic device for an in vitro lymph node. The microfluidic device disclosed in the present invention, has a body with a semi-circular inner wall and a first channel located adjacent along the semi-circular inner wall. The first channel of the microfluidic device disclosed corresponds to a subcapsular sinus region of a lymph node. The device also has a second channel located adjacent the first channel, which corresponds to a reticular network. A bottom cavity and top cavity, centrally located, corresponding to a paracortex and follicle of a lymph node, respectively. The various compartments of the device are separated by circumferentially and horizontally located rows of micro-pillars. The microfluidic device of the present invention is fabricated with a polysiloxane, preferably polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). There is also provided in the present invention a lab-on-a-chip device incorporating multiple immune cell types within a collagen rich silicone microfluidicdevice.
