The invention discloses a photovoltaic module and a preparation method thereof, the photovoltaic module comprises a back plate, a battery piece and a transparent layer which are stacked in sequence, and the back plate and the battery piece as well as the battery piece and the transparent layer are fixed by injecting a packaging adhesive, wherein the backboard is made of a transparent material, thetransparent layer is made of an organic polymer material, the packaging adhesive is an ultraviolet curing adhesive, and the packaging adhesive comprises an edge covering part; the preparation methodof the photovoltaic module comprises the following steps: putting the back plate, the battery piece and the transparent layer which are stacked in sequence into a packaging mold, vacuumizing the packaging mold, injecting a packaging adhesive, curing and molding the packaging adhesive, dripping the packaging adhesive into the packaging mold to form an edge covering part, and trimming the cured andmolded photovoltaic module.
