The method comprises the following steps of: 1, manufacturing a delay line type surface acoustic wave device without a sensitive film; 2, manufacturing a delay line type SAW gas sensor comprising a sensitive film; 3, selecting proper parameters for forming a reference oscillation generationcircuit; 4, selecting proper parameters for forming an oscillation generation circuit; 5, selecting proper parameters for forming an oscillation signal mixing processing circuit; 6, selecting proper parameters for forming a low-frequency signal conditioning circuit; and 7, connecting the reference oscillation generation circuit, the oscillation generation circuit, the oscillation signal mixing processing circuit and the low-frequency signal conditioning circuit. The method is reasonable in design, the designed delay line type surface acoustic wave based sensing circuit system is low in power consumption and can genera
