A novel bypass cable operation method applied to a distribution network line ring main unitcomprises the following steps that 1) a miniature power supply power network system is prepared, and the miniature power supply power network system includes an automobile, a vehicle-mounted ring main unit and a cable switching device; and the vehicle-mounted ring main unit is installed on an automobile. 2) an input cable of the vehicle-mounted ring main unit is connected with an output end of the previous ring main unit adjacent to the ringmain unit through the cable switching device; a transformer cable of the vehicle-mounted ring main unit is connected with a transformer connected with the ring main unit through the cable switching device, and an output cable of the vehicle-mounted ring main unit is connected with an input end of a next ring main unit adjacent to the ring main unit through the cable switching device; and 3) afterthe ring main unit is repl
