Zusammenfassung:The invention discloses a protein VvIAA18 related to stress resistance of a plant and an encoding gene and application. The invention provides a protein which is a protein (a) or (b) as follows: (a) aprotein consisting of amino acid sequences shown in SEQ ID NO 2 of a sequence table in the description; or (b) a protein which is derived from the sequence SEQ ID NO 2 by substituting and/or deletingand/or adding one or more amino acid residues into amino acid residue sequences shown in SEQ ID NO2 in the sequence table in the description and is related to stress resistance of the plant. Experiments show that by introducing the encoding gene of the protein into plant cells, a transgenic plant with improved stress resistance can be obtained. The protein and the encoding gene disclosed by the invention have great application significances for culturing stress resistant plant varieties, and thus have great significances for increasing yields of crops; and the protein has wide application spaces and market prospects i
