The invention discloses a method for measuring an outline. The method comprises the following steps of measuring a point track of the outline of an object to be solved by using GNSS signal receiving terminals such as GPS/BDS and the like; or measuring the contour shape by using a visual camera/mobile phone camera shooting function; after the characteristic data are measured and obtained, if the characteristic point data are transmitted to a computing platform through a network or a communication system, carrying out optimization operation through established mathematical modeling, and then anaccurate area value of an irregular shape or a volume value of a complex contour can be obtained. 本发明公开一种利用外形轮廓测量的方法提出采用GPS/BDS等GNSS信号接收终端测量出待求物的外形轮廓的点轨迹，或用视觉摄像头/手机摄像功能测量出轮廓形状，测量获得这些特征数据以后，若把这些特征点数据通过网络或通信系统传输到计算平台，通过已建立的数学建模，进行优化运算，就能得到比较精确的不规则形状的面积值或复杂轮廓的体积值。
