Hydrogen bond receptors (choline chloride and DL-menthol) and hydrogen bond donors (tartaric acid, lactic acid and gluconic acid) aremixed according to a certain proportion at the temperature of 80-90 DEG C to prepare the natural deep eutectic solvent, and the solvent is an environment-friendly medium due to the fact that the rawmaterials of the solvent are all non-toxic or extremely low in toxicity. The solvent is mixed with water in a certain volume ratio to serve as an extraction solvent, carotenoid is extracted through adoption of an ultrasonic-assisted method, operation is easy, the extraction time is short, and the extraction efficiency is high.
