THERMAL HEAD

A thermal head is provided with: an underglaze layer provided on an insulating substrate; an electrode provided on the underglaze layer; a heating element provided on the electrode; a first protectionlayer coating at least the heating element and containing glass material; and a second protection layer provided on the first protection layer, having a melting point higher than that of the first protection layer, and made of material having a thermal expansion coefficient which is substantially constant with respect to temperature at 1000 DEG C or lower. 本发明提供一种热头，具备：底釉层，其设于绝缘基板上；电极，其设于上述底釉层上；发热体，其设于上述电极上；第一保护层，其至少覆盖上述发热体，且含有玻璃材料；以及第二保护层，其设于上述第一保护层上，与上述第一保护层相比为高熔点，且由1000℃以下的热膨胀系数相对于温度大致恒定的材料形成。
