Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses a method for detecting body size traits of cattle with the assistance of a copy number variation (CNV) marker of an SIKE1 (Suppressor Of IKBKE 1) gene and application of the method. By taking blood whole genome DNA of the cattle as a template, a CNV region of the SIKE1 gene and part of fragments of a basic transcription factor 3 (BTF3) gene as internal reference are amplified through a real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method; and a CNV type of the individual SIKE1 gene is identified according to a quantitative result by calculating log22. Based on a correlation between copy number variations of the SIKE1 gene and growth trait(s), the method can be used for rapidly establishing genetic resource dominant populationsof native cattle breeds, such as Yunling cattle and the like, and thus, acceleration of molecular marker-assisted selection breeding work of the Yunling cattle and the like is facilitated; and the method is simple, fast, and c |
