The invention relates to a method for identifying nutritional quality of milk. The method comprises the following steps: 1) extracting tryptophan and other metabolites from a milk sample to obtain anextract; 2) carrying out chromatographic separation-mass spectrometry scanning on the extract obtained in the step 1), carrying out quantitative analysis on the tryptophan and the other metabolites inthe milk sample, and determining a quantitation limit and a recovery rate; and 3) analyzing the milk sample according to content data of the tryptophan and the other metabolites in the milk sample inthe step 2).
