Replaceable storage battery

The invention relates to a replaceable storage battery (2) for an electric household appliance. The storage battery has a first end side (11), a second end side (12), a top side (13), a bottom side (14) and two side surfaces (15, 16). A plurality of electrical conductor contacts are arranged on the first end side (11), the contours of the side surfaces (15, 16) extends to transit to the top and bottom sides (13, 14) in a rounded manner as seen in the front view of each end side (11, 12), and straight line segments of the side suefaces (15, 16), which are formed in the contour, run parallel toeach other. The aim of the invention is to achieve advantageous operability and reliability of a predetermined insertion state.
