Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses PMI foam with high elongation at break and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) uniformly mixing 30-70 parts by weight of methacrylonitrile, 30-70 parts by weight of methacrylic acid and related aids, and stirring the materials for dissolving, (2) adding modified nanoparticles into the reaction solution, and dispersing thesolution at a high speed, (3) injecting the reaction dispersion liquid into a mold, and carrying out a reaction process to obtain a polymer plate, and (4) heating and foaming the polymer plate to obtain a PMI foam plate with high elongation at break. The elongation at break of the poly(methyl)acrylimide foam prepared by the method is obviously improved compared with that of conventional foam, andthe thermodynamic property is basically equivalent to that before modification.
