The tool temperature detection system comprises a workpiece driving device and a detection matching part; the workpiece driving device drives the detection matching part to rotate around the axis of the detection matching part; a chip breaker groove is formed in the circumferential surface of the detection matching part; a toolsupporting structure is used for mounting a to-be-detected tool; the to-be-detected tool has a cutting state in contact with the detection matching part and a detection state opposite to the chip breaking groove; a distance sensor is arranged at one side of the detection matching part so as to judge whether the to-be-detected tool is in the cutting state or the detection state according to a detection result of the distance sensor; a thermal infrared imager and the to-be-detected tool are arranged separately, and the thermal infrared imager is used for detecting the cutting temperature of a tool nose of the to-be-det
