The invention relates to a performance evaluation method of a wind turbine generator based on a surrounding environment. The method comprises the following steps: (1) modeling an obstacle and a wind turbine generator; (2) sweeping the wind turbine generator along a position angle of a set interval by adopting wind with a rectangular section, and judging whether an obstacle influences the wind turbine generator or not; (3) eliminating the position angle without influence on the wind turbine generator to obtain a position angle with influence on the wind turbine generator; (4) constructing a fluid model of the affected position angle; (5) according to the fluid model, carrying out barrier simulation calculation on the wind turbine generator model; and (6) carrying out evaluation according tothe result of the barrier simulation calculation.
