The invention provides a low-gloss and good-appearance polypropylene composite material for automotive interiors and a preparation method thereof. The composite material is prepared from the followingraw materials in parts by weight: 45-90 parts of polypropylene, 5-12 parts of matte master batch, 0-25 parts of talcum powder, 0-25 parts of a flexibilizer and 0-2 parts of other auxiliaries. The matte master batch is prepared from 100 parts of polyethylene and 0.5-3 parts of a cross-linking agent as preparation raw materials through the following method: firstly, uniformly mixing not more than 50 parts of polyethylene and the cross-linking agent, adding the mixture into an extruder by side feeding, adding the rest of polyethylene into the extruder by main feeding, and carrying out melt extrusion granulation at 160-170 DEG C to obtain the matte master batch.
