The ultralow carbon gas shielded welding wire comprises the following chemicalelements in percentage by mass: 0.01 to 0.05% of C, 0.4 to 1.0% of Si, 0.4 to 1.0% of Mn, 0.5 to 1.2% of Cr, 0.3 to 0.8% of Mo, 0.04 to 0.1% of Al, and the balance of Fe and other inevitable impurityelements. In addition, the invention further discloses a manufacturing method for the ultralow carbon gas shielded welding wire, and the manufacturing method comprises the steps: the raw materials aresubjected to vacuum electric furnace smelting, and the solidified steel ingot is subjected to rolling, drawing and layer winding to obtain the ultralow carbon gas shielded welding wire.
