The invention discloses a device for picking up watermelons. The device comprises a picking-up vehicle, a central controller, an operating floor, a loading hopper, a mechanical arm, an automatic shearing device, a mechanical claw and a pulley mechanism, wherein the picking-up vehicle is provided with the central controller and the operating floor; the operating floor is connected with the centralcontroller; the bottom of the picking-up vehicle is symmetrically provided with a plurality of mechanical legs used for walking; the bottom of the picking-up vehicle is provided with a first laser sensor; the first laser sensor is connected with the central controller and is used for detecting a distribution situation of watermelon seedlings on the bottom of the picking-up vehicle; the picking-upvehicle is provided with the loading hopper used for loading the watermelon and is provided with the mechanical arm; the tail end of the mechanical arm is provided with the automatic shearing device and is provided with the me
