GROUNDING CIRCUIT FOR A BACKUP POWER SOURCE

A grounding circuit (100) for a backup power source used to power a pitch motor (33) of a pitch system (70) in a wind turbine (10) is provided. The grounding circuit (100) includes one or more switching elements (120) configured to selectively couple the backup power source to a charging circuit (110) based on a state of a first interface element (102). The grounding circuit (100) further includesone or more switching elements (120) configured to selectively couple the backup power source to ground based on a state of a second interface element (104). The grounding circuit (100) includes at least one circuit protection device (140) coupled between the backup power source and the charging circuit (110).
