The invention discloses a blockboard trimming machine and a trimming method thereof. The trimming machine comprises a workbench, a driving motor and a trimming knife. An electric sliding rail is fixedto one side of a top end of the workbench through screws, a sliding plate is slidably connected to an inner wall of the electric sliding rail, and a trimming knife adjusting mechanism is arranged ata top end of the sliding plate. Rectangular grooves are arranged in two sides of a top end of the workbench, and wood plate clamping mechanisms are arranged in the rectangular grooves. A workbench support is welded to the bottom end of the workbench.
