WINDING MACHINE

The invention relates to a winding machine for winding a plurality of threads to form packages, said winding machine having a plurality of winding stations (1.1-1.4). The winding stations are arrangednext to each other along at least one winding spindle (6.1) held in a protruding manner. An associated top thread guide (3.1-3.4) is arranged before each winding station (1.1-1.4) in the thread course. At least one godet arranged laterally adjacent to the winding stations (1.1-1.4) is associated with the top thread guides (3.1-3.4). Said godet is oriented transversely to the winding spindle (6.1). In order to thread the threads into the top thread guides (3.1-3.4) at a start of the process, the top thread guides are arranged on a carrier (14), which can be moved in a machine frame (10). For the threading in, the carrier (14) guides the top thread guides (3.1-3.4) from an application position outside of the winding stations (1.1-1.4) into an operating position of the winding stations.
