The strain type liquid level sensor comprises a shell, a separation piece, an installation fixing piece, an elastic body, a floater and fourresistance strain gauges. When the liquid level of a to-be-measured container exceeds the lower end surface of the shell, the liquid flows into the lower cavity of the shell from the liquid inlet; andthe floater located in the lower cavity rises under the action of liquid buoyancy, and the elastic body deforms under pushing of the floater. After the resistance strain gauges sense the deformationof the elastic body, the resistance is changed, the change of the resistance is converted into the change of the voltage through a Wheatstone bridge, and the liquid level height of the to-be-measuredcontainer can be obtained according to the output voltage of the Wheatstone bridge.
