Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses a dipyridine compound, a synthesis method, and a symmetric liquid flow battery system thereof. The synthesis method of the dipyridine compound containing TEMPO comprises the following steps: under a strong alkali condition, reacting a compound A with 4-hydroxyl-2, 2, 6, 6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxygen free radicals to obtain a dipyridine compound B containing TEMPO, and the chemical reaction equation is shown as formula (1). The synthesis method of the dipyridine compound containing TEMPO is convenient in operation, and the obtained dipyridine compound containing TEMPOcan be taken as a positive electrode active substance and a negative electrode active substance of flow batteries.
