The double-side horizontal tire drive rail transit system comprises a track beam and a bogie; at least one middle railis arranged on the track beam; the middle rail is arranged in a ramp area of the track beam; the bogie comprises a bogie frame; at least two sliding platforms are arranged on the bogie frame in the transverse direction of the track beam in a spaced manner; each sliding platform can slide in the transverse direction of the track beam; a horizontal wheel is mounted on each sliding platform; a springis connected between the two adjacent sliding platforms; and the width of the middle rail in the ramp area is larger than the free length of the spring and less than the unfolding length of the spring. According to the double-side horizontal tire drive rail transit system, by arranging the middle rail and the horizontal wheel, the slope climbing ability of a train can be obviously improved, and the slope climbing ability
