The invention relates to locking devices with enhanced security. A blocking lock with a matrix coding system comprises a housing containing a slot for a laminar key, a movable locking plate, pins, beads which close off the key slot, and apertures for said beads, having a depth that is not greater than the radius of a bead. A key seat plate is rigidly fastened to the movable locking plate, and thehousing contains a fixed matrix having apertures for code elements drilled therein coaxially with the locking plate in its maximum closed position, said apertures having beads, short and long pins andcode springs disposed therein. The housing is provided with a rotatable protuberance for guiding the key to a region of the key seat plate having a recess for the beads, and is further provided witha working spring for interaction with the housing and the locking plate.
