Zusammenfassung:The invention provides a brake pad material and a preparation method and application thereof. The brake pad material is prepared from the following raw materials by weight percent: 50%-70% of copper powder, 5%-20% of iron powder, 10%-30% of copper-coated graphite powder, 1%-2% of ZrO2 powder, 1%-2% of Al2O3 powder, 1%-15% of high carbon ferro-chrome powder, 1%-5% of MoS2 powder and 5%-20% of iron-cobalt-copper prealloy. The surface of crystalline flake graphite is copper-plated to prepare copper-coated graphite powder: the surface of nonmetallic graphite is metallized, such that on the one hand, the bonding strength between interfaces of graphite and other components is enhanced, and on the other hand, graphite is increased in specific gravity so as to be uniformly mixed with other components. The powder with the foregoing proportions is uniformly mixed and subjected to cold-press molding and pressure sintering to obtain the brake pad material.
