The preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing avandic salt, hydrazine hydrate and ammonia water in a container under stirring to obtain a mixed solution; pouring the mixed solution into a hydrothermal reaction kettle, sealing the hydrothermal reaction kettle, putting the hydrothermal reaction kettle into a constant-temperature box, adjusting a reaction temperature, carrying out a reaction and then performing cooling to room temperature; and cleaning and drying a sample to obtain the one-dimensional nanosheet self-assembled vanadium pentoxide nanorod.
