The invention provides a device for recovering desert vegetation. The device comprises straw layers, organic matrix layers, a water seepage pipe and a water pump, wherein the organic matrix layer is filled between the adjacent straw layers; one end of the water seepage pipe sequentially penetrates through the various straw layers for delivering water; and the other end of the water seepage pipe isconnected with the water pump. According to the device, the water pump is used for delivering the water to the water seepage pipe, the water seepage pipe is used for delivering the water to the strawlayers, the straw layers can well keep the water, meanwhile, rainwater can be well kept in rainy days, and the rainwater is uniformly delivered to the various organic matrix layers through the down seepage effect, so that seeds are promoted to germinate and grow, meanwhile, the organic matrix can be well attached to the straw layers to avoid loss of the organic matrix, and finally, the straw layers and the organic matrix
