Zusammenfassung:	The invention is directed to a sealing element for sealing joints in concrete structures comprising a profile (2) having a center portion (3) and first and second side portions (4, 5) on opposite sides of, the center portion (3). The side portions (4, 5) of the profile are at least partially covered with a functional coating (6) which is operative to bond with a fresh cementitious composition casted against it and allowed to harden.
