The commodity detection method comprises the following steps: capturing an image comprising shelf laminates and aplurality of commodities placed on the shelf laminates; obtaining position information of one commodity in the plurality of commodities on the shelf laminate according to the image; utilizing a plurality of sensors adjacent to the shelf laminates to detect a pickup action when the commodity is contacted so as to generate a plurality of detection results; and judging the sales state of the commodity according to the plurality of detection results and the position information of the commodity on the shelf laminate. 本发明提供一种商品侦测方法及商品侦测系统，商品侦测方法包含：撷取包含货架层板及置放于上的多个商品的影像；依据影像，取得该多个商品中一个商品在货架层板的位置资讯；利用与货架层板相邻的多个感测器，侦测商品被接触时的拾取动作，以产生多个侦测结果；及依据该多个侦测结果及商品在货架层板的位置资讯，判断商品的销售状态。
