The invention discloses a gear structure capable of displaying abrasion and a manufacturing method. An outer coating is arranged on the outer surface of each tooth part pf the gear; and the color of the outer coating is different from that of the tooth part. Therefore, when the gear is used for a period of time and is worn, the outer coating partially or completely disappears due to abrasion, andthe original color of the tooth part is displayed, so that a user can easily know the abrasion situation through visual detection to timely change the gear, and stop of a machine and a tool is avoided. 本发明为一种具磨耗显示的齿轮结构与制法，该齿轮于其各齿部外表面，设置有一外覆层，该外覆层的颜色异于该齿部。借此，当该齿轮经过一段时间的使用而产生磨损现像时，该外覆层将因磨耗而部份或全部消失，进而呈现该齿部的原色，用户能轻易的通过视觉检知该磨损情况，以利及时更换，避免机具停摆。
