The recording medium includes an ink-receiving layer that contains a resin (A) having at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of a hydroxy group, a carboxy group, a hydroxyalkyl group, and -C(=O)NRR, and a compound (B) having a structure represented by a formula (1) or a formula (2).
