The bar code reading device comprises a carrying rack used for placing a sampling tube; a bar code reading assembly which comprises a reading in-place detection device, a reading toggle mechanism, a friction disc and a bar code reading engine; the reading toggle mechanism and the friction disc are arranged in a rotating mode. In the conveying process of the carrying frame, a channel allowing the carrying frame to rotate is formed between the reading and stirring mechanism and the friction disc, and the reading and stirring mechanism stirs thecarrying frame to move; in the reading process of the carrying frame, an area allowing the carrying frame to rotate is formed between the reading stirring mechanism and the friction disc, and the friction disc makes friction contact with the carrying frame and drives the carrying frame to rotate. The bar code reading device provided by the invention is simple in structure and does not occupy loading time.
