The retractable wire control steering wheel for the autonomous vehicle comprises a steering wheel module, an ECU control unit and a front wheel steering module, wherein two-way communication is realized between the steering wheel module and the ECU control unit as well as between the ECU control unit and the front wheel steering module through a wire harness; and the ECU control unit is also connected with the vehicle controller through a CAN bus. The retractable wire control steering wheel for the autonomous vehicle can control the rotation of the vehicle more accurately, and can also be hidden in the vehicle body in an intelligent driving mode, so the external coordination of the autonomous driving vehicle is improved.
