The invention relates to a high-porosity resin grinding wheel and a preparation method thereof. The high-porosity resin grinding wheel is mainly prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 20-33 parts of water-soluble phenolic resin liquid, 6-8 parts of a curing agent, 50-63 parts of an abrasive, 1-1.3 parts of a surfactant, 5 parts of expanded microspheres and 2.7-5 parts of water.
