The invention discloses an alignment device and method for a gear shaping machining gear and an involute internal spline. The alignment device comprises a locating mechanism and a photoelectric measuring head, wherein the locating mechanism comprises a horizontal installation rod and a vertical locating plate vertically arranged below the horizontal installation rod, an elastic locating rod assembly is horizontally installed on one side of the vertical locating plate, and the photoelectric measuring head comprises a cylindrical shell and a spherical contact vertically installed at one end of the cylindrical shell.
