Zusammenfassung:The invention belongs to the technical field of intelligent traffic, and discloses a traffic light time regulation and control method applied to a two-way multi-lane pedestrian crossing. Based on a video image recognition technology, the number of waiting people at the crossing is determined by recognizing real-time video images collected by monitoring equipment of the crossing, and a traffic signal control system determines duration of a green light and the duration of a red light based a roadway traffic light duration calculation formula according to the number of the waiting people. A traffic system of the invention is low in reformation cost, the duration of traffic lights can be dynamically set according to the number of the waiting people at the pedestrian crossing, and the pass capacity and the service level of the pedestrian crossing are improved; when the number of people passing is less, pass priority is given to a vehicle, and the passing capacity of vehicles on a road section is improved; and when
