Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a brush (10) for an electric machine, comprising at least one brush body (2) which has an electrical resistance, is designed for electrical contacting of at least one component moving relative to the brush body (2) during operation of the electric machine, and during the operation of the electric machine wears in a wear direction (3) as a result of frictional contact withthe component, and comprising a detection device (4) for determining the wear of the brush body (2). The detection device (4) has a plurality of detection zones (11, 12, 13) spaced apart from one another in the wear direction (3), the electrical resistance of each of said zones differing from the electrical resistance of the brush body (2).
